When purchasing leather products such as a belt, it is wise to spend on one which is made from full leather, yes it may cost more than a leather coated belt, but it would be worth your investment. Also stick with classic buckles, preferably one with a reversible buckle, black and brown strap ideally; they go great for both work and play.
